Brown + Green = LEED® Gold
The center is named to honor longtime Bartow County Commissioner Clarence Brown, whose forward thinking leadership team ensured that its design and construction adhered to environmental guidelines, ultimately achieving LEED® Gold certification. The center is operated by the Cartersville-Bartow County Convention & Visitors Bureau according to an intergovernmental agreement between Bartow County and City of Cartersville. Guests are encouraged to “think green” as signage throughout the 40,000 sq. ft. facility and 20-acre grounds introduces the center’s innovative environmental features.
Cartersville – Georgia’s Museum City
Want your event to be special? Why not choose a city that is uniquely special with a pleasing balance of small town friendliness and sophisticated surprises that you would only expect to find nearby in Atlanta. As Georgia’s Museum City, Cartersville is home to multiple Smithsonian Affiliate Museums dedicated to iconic American subjects: space exploration, pre-historic cultures, cowboys and Indians, U.S. Presidents, and our love for the automobile, just to name a few. Aside from days filled with these attractions, your guests can refuel and relax with delicious Chef-driven dining options in Downtown Cartersville, plus enjoy some free-spirited time at Terminus Wake Park, Allatoona Lake, and Red Top Mountain State Park. Explore all the possibilities to amplify your event experiences at VisitCartersvilleGA.org or request your choice of brochures here.
The Etowah Ballroom, with almost 13,000 square feet, comfortably hosts up to 1,000 people in a banquet setting, and more than 1,400 people for a reception.
Cartersville’s amazing Smithsonian Affiliate museums, its beautifully restored downtown shopping and dining district, and Georgia’s natural mountain wonders combine to welcome visitors to a destination worthy of frequent exploration.
