The Etowah Indian Mounds State Historic Site is now open daily from 9 AM-5 PM. Plan a visit to make new discoveries at the Etowah Archaeological Museum, see Native American fish traps in the Etowah River, and get your daily steps in with a climb up Mounds A, B & C. Pack a picnic and spend the day at this pre-historic landmark overlooking the Etowah Valley District, which at 40,000 acres is, the largest district in the National Register of Historic Places.
