Cartersville, Georgia, once home to the pre-historic Mound Builders of the Native Mississippian cultures, was also inhabited by the Creek and Cherokee Indians.

Founded in 1991, the CVB’s mission is to foster and sustain the economic development of Bartow County and its municipalities by generating tourism revenue. The CVB operates an Official Georgia Regional Visitor Information Center and the Clarence Brown Conference Center, both located at 5450 State Route 20 at I-75 Exit 290 west.
